Rules to Ponder in Life

While I was searching my file looking for those Protocols I'm going to rewrite, I happened to find a sheet of photocopied paper I had zapped from Judith's desk a couple of months back... It's some phrases that struck my mind the moment I read it on her desk... and at that particular moment that took me, I asked her for that sheet of laminated phrases and said I'd like to have a copy of it, just that I felt so strongly that this is something she keeps it attached on her desk to serve as a form of motivation in Life... Interestingly, I re-read the entire phrases again and I realised I had once forgotten... So what the hell is this sheet doing in my file of Protocols???

Something so simple to understand but yet it can takes a lifetime to get them into our heads and fully accept what is happening around us... Most of the time... Basically every second as time goes by...

I Asked for Strength
and God gave me Difficulties to make me Strong

I Asked for Wisdom
and God gave me Problems to Solve

I Asked for Prosperity
and God gave me a Brain and Brawn to Work

I Asked for Courage
and God gave me Obstacles to Overcome

I Asked for Love
and God gave me Troubled people to Help

I Asked for Favours
and God gave me Opportunities

I received Nothing I wanted.... But I received Everything I needed...

Fair enough, while surfing the net last night, I happened to come across a site and I recalled I once read (about 5 years back) a book by Cherie Carter-Scott, "If Life is a Game, These are the Rules"... This site is quoting the Ten Rules for Being Human, based on her book...

1. You will receive a body... You may like it or hate it, but it's yours to keep for the entire period...
2. You will learn lessons. .. You are enrolled in a full-time informal school called, "life."
3. There are no mistakes, only lessons... Growth is a process of trial, error, and experimentation... The "failed" experiments are as much a part of the process as the experiments that ultimately "work."
4. Lessons are repeated until they are learned... A lesson will be presented to you in various forms until you have learned it... When you have learned it, you can go on to the next lesson...
5. Learning lessons does not end... There's no part of life that doesn't contain its lessons... If you're alive, that means there are still lessons to be learned...
6. "There" is no better a place than "here." When your "there" has become a "here", you will simply obtain another "there" that will again look better than "here."
7. Other people are merely mirrors of you... You cannot love or hate something about another person unless it reflects to you something you love or hate about yourself...
8. What you make of your life is up to you... You have all the tools and resources you need... What you do with them is up to you... The choice is yours...
9. Your answers lie within you... The answers to life's questions lie within you... All you need to do is look, listen, and trust...
10. You will forget all this...

And yes, very true indeed, I've forgotten all these after reading the book years back...
